Famous woman who was sleeping on couch and TV commercial scared her so bad (loud) that her jaw locked?

I read this in a Women's magazine probably 10-15 years ago and everyone thinks I'm crazy. A famous cook or clothing desginer had a write up about her. Apparently she took a nap on her sofa and was awoken by a TV commercial that was somewhat louder than the volume of TV she had fallen asleep too. Apparently it stunned her so much her jaw locked and then she had to have surgery to correct it. Did anyone remember seeing this article or hearing about it??
