Did you install Crawler Bar? Sounds like a virus/worm. Have a trusted friend download the free Super Antispyware program from superantispyware.com. Put it on a flash drive. It is a .com program that you can run after starting your computer in Safe Mode. Navigate to your flash drive and double click the program (it has a numerical designation to fool your virus into thinking it isn't going to try to defeat it) and be prepared to wait a good long while as it meticulously scrubs your system looking for all instances of offensive programs. Don't be surprised if they number in the thousands. When it is finished it will show you the report and ask if you wish it to delete all of the nasties. I imagine that you will want to say yes so go ahead and it will clean and clean and clean and then tell you to reboot so it can clean more as your computer reboots into a healthy state.
