Why does my jaws hurt ?

ok so last night i was laying down watching tv when all of a sudden the left side of my "locked up" i guess. last night i had tried to pry my mouth open to get my jaws back in place and i did but only for a second then as i closed my mouth and it "locked back up" and i tried to sleep on it by just keeping my mouth closed through the night thinking it would go away but it didn't. and in the morning it hurts more and i cant even try to pry it open now it hurts to chew and talk and i cant really move my mouth so im not really talking to much. i don't talk alot though. i wear Invisalign retainers at night time instructed ny my orthodontist. and maybe that's the problem i don't know. but haven't had any of the symptoms . CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT PLEASE !!!
