Can you use a creepy crawler in a pool that has pop-up in floor cleaners already?

We have a very simple pool that does not have the ability to divert water with handle so when the pump goes on the pop up heads automatically come up. It is not very effective and we want to get an auto vac, like a creepy crawler, because we think it will do a better job. Will the pop-up heads be a problem or will it still work?
