Rainbow trout fishing in muddy high river?

I just bought a new float rod and got my 4 day holiday....Its been raining everyday for past 6 days for a couple hours. I checked out the river, it was muddy like chocolate and it was reallly fast and high...I bought the new float rod and was hoping this year could be the year I land my first rainbow trout because uptill now I had just hooked them ***** land one but this muddy water wont clean till my holiday is over.....So I have have earthworms/night crawlers....Is there any hope of me landing a fish during the rain tomowrrow?? id really like to land my first rainbow before holiday ends
