I have tried to use ANC (African Night Crawlers) worms for composting.?

It seems that there name tells the story but everybody that i have asked about how to stop them crawling away at night don't seem to understand my problem. Am i doing something wrong to drive them away at night or should i cover them with small gauge net. On a large compost heap netting would be difficult.
