Is this strep throat?

Yesterday I was eating and felt pain on the right side of my throat when I swallowed. Soon after I started having nasal drip and it continued to get worse. Since then my throat has been killing. It hurts to swallow so bad. I took a flashlight and looked in my mouth and in the very back it's extremely red. While there aren't white bumps, I can see what looks like red bumps (almost look like little mountains) on the very back of my tongue. I had a problem with my gland under my jaw, where it was very swollen for months.. it just finally went down this week, and now it's HUGE and it hurts horribly to move my neck around.. Could this be strep throat even without white patches? I will see a doctor, but just looking for opinions. Thank you :)
