Can you remove tonsils while you have braces?

Becuase i have to put something in my mouth fo 6 mounths to make my jaw wider.Then i have to put braces for 2 years.My tonsils are big and make me snore..The docter says you SHOULD get your tonsils removed soon.Should i remove tonsils or get braces in first.Also can you remove tonsils while having braces or that thing to stretch you jaw?
