My ex girlfriend that I desperately want back is meeting me, what can I say to not make things worse for me?

My girlfriend left me , well she made me leave her apartment after 7 yrs together. I was to blame for being hard on her and my inability to find regular work (although I tried my work was sporadic).To cut a long story short after 1 year apart I still miss her and love her so much. She is meeting me as I asked her to for a birthday beer. What is the best way to improve my possibilities of getting her back, if thats even a remote possibility (which I doubt). Maybe I mean , what should I not be saying to reduce my chances further or at least improve my position. She apparently has a new man friend lately too to make it more difficult. I don't want to look like a crawler as girls don't like that I think but I am heartbroken . Up to now when we met I told her I loved her and that we could fix it etc but she is convinced I will not be her future .. am I beat , it feels like I am .
