Why do liberals use the term "subsidy" when they are referring to expenses that oil companies deduct?
Because when a company or corporation brags of the largest profits ever, and indeed ARE the largest profits in history for ANY corporation, save the pharmaceutical corps, AND they get money from the government that they don't pay in to in the first place, guess that's a subsidy in my book. When oil companies stop getting the oil for free under OUR land, then maybe they can get free handouts, or maybe when they start standing up to their agreements to repay people, industries and livelihoods of people they destroy, they can get corporate welfare, but in my book, when one makes record profits and pays CEOs HUGE amounts of bonuses for screwing the taxpayers, they deserve nothing more than my disdain, as do those who think it's ok.
